Sales Policy
Please read this policy carefully, as it sets out important terms that govern your purchases of MapMate products. Your placement of an order at the MapMate website shop, or directly by mail to us, constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you place your order. We may change these terms and conditions from time to time so you should review them at each purchase. These terms are valid from the date of issue stated at the end of this document.

'MapMate' or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of this website whose registered office is MapMate Limited, 4 Cedar Court, Tiverton Business Park, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6GT. Our company is registered in England in Wales and our registration number is 7363203.

Prices and availability  

All our products are always available and by their nature have no substitutes. Prices are valid at the time published and remain so for the duration of your licence term, or 1 year, whichever is shorter. To ensure you are seeing the current prices please refresh your web browser when looking at the website shop pages which include pricing information. We cannot guarantee that your browser has not cached, and is showing you, an old version of the page with pricing that is not current.  

VAT  

There is no VAT charged on MapMate.

Shipping and delivery  

We aim to ship all items within one working day from receipt of order. All items are shipped by 1st Class Royal Mail to destinations in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands only. Please allow seven working days for delivery. The cost of shipping is included in all prices.  

Software licences  

MapMate software is provided under the terms of our Licence Agreement. By making a purchase of the software or any update or update subscription you accept the terms of that agreement.  

Technical support  

As part of your Licence Agreement you have unlimited email support for MapMate software for one year from date of purchase and thereafter in additional one year increments if you choose to renew your licence through our Update Subscription. Technical support is only available via email to support@mapmate.co.uk. We aim to reply to all support emails personally in all instances and within one business day of receipt. Where you are a licensed user you should provide your CUK (Centre Unique Key) to facilitate a reply.  

Return and refund policy  

If you are not satisfied with any product, or you wish to change your mind about your purchase, you may return it for a refund within 14 days from receipt provided:

  • For software on physical media it is un-opened, un-used and returned as such,
  • For software or updates that are electronically deliverable you have not downloaded them,
  • For update subscriptions you have not used any of the paid-for services.

Except where product is materially defective (see Defective items below) all software products and their updates once opened or used are provided on a non-refundable basis unless otherwise provided for by law. Our refund will be limited to the price you paid less our shipping costs and a fixed administrative charge of £1. Refunds can only be made by charge-back to the original payment method if by card or by cheque if you paid by cheque. Refunds will be processed on receipt of any returned item(s). If you change your mind, or wish to return any product, please contact us at the earliest opportunity by email to support@mapmate.co.uk or in writing to MapMate Limited, 4 Barnfield Cottages, Netherexe, Exeter, EX5 4DZ.

Defective items  

If, on receipt, you discover what you believe is a physical defect in any MapMate product preventing its proper use, please contact support@mapmate.co.uk in the first instance. If your product does have a defect we will happily send you a replacement.

More about us

Our normal office hours of business are 08:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, excepting UK Public Holidays.  Our telephone number for sales enquiries is 07948 526003 (please note that no technical support personnel are available on this number, all support enquires should be directed by email to support@mapmate.co.uk). All orders can be placed and processed automatically outside of normal hours of business (online and by post) and these include new software licences and update subscriptions with or without deliverable media. Support is available 7 days a week and we aim to respond to all enquiries with a personal reply within one day of receipt of your email.

Other terms and conditions  

These terms do not affect your statutory rights. These terms are subject to the laws of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
